Future Plans
We, at Amal, believe that all 17 SDGs funnel down to conservation, optimization and sharing of resources. We plan to align our social programs with relevant SDG targets and indicators and monitor the impact of our future plans both qualitatively and quantitatively.
We will continue to work in our priority areas of action i.e. environmental conservation, social action and economic empowerment. Within remaining within our Values Framework, we plan to enhance the scope of our programs and activities and enlarge our network of partner organizations in government, private and corporate sectors for greater impact.
Green Banking Solutions
AMAL is aggressively developing relationships to provide smart solutions to enable the stakeholders achieve SDG targets
for Pakistan by 2030. Some important programs and actions planned for future include:
A. Enable and develop capacity of commercial banks to develop Green Banking systems and operations;
B. Facilitate corporate sector and NGOs to promote and implement Green Office concept through smart solutions;
C. Contribute to Government’s efforts for Poverty Alleviation, Skills Development, Women Empowerment, Clean and Green Pakistan, Jobs Creation and formalization of economy; and
D. Work with international development agencies for localizing and monitoring Pakistan’s progress on relevant SDGs.
Green Partners’ Network (GPN)
AMAL has introduced a digital platform Green Partner Network (GPN) to incentivize environmental efforts of organizations and individuals by implementing Green Office concepts (7Rs) and promotion of Ethical Business operations.
Green credits act as a shareable and tradeable digital currency and a financial tool to encourage environmental actions and activities. Some front-runner organizations and schools have already shown their interest by getting registered through AMAL App. In the longer run, GPN is destined to develop a Green Market for environmental impact mitigation in Pakistan.
AMAL, through its partner organizations and GPN, intends to incorporate the informal workers and service providers in the waste management supply chain in the formal economy and create Green job opportunities for them. Some scrap dealers and scavengers have been lined up for their capacity development and participation in the network, increasing their contribution towards “circular economy”.
